System design options

Train profiles are aerodynamic in design and require equally innovative engineering designs to enable automatic cleaning. Hand brushing is in decline as wash systems have become much more efficient and the front and rear train design presents an acute angled surface that makes hand brushing hazardous and difficult. Bingham Rail was quick to react to this in the development of angled independent gantries that automatically follow the front and rear contours, and the eaves and skirts of modern streamlined trains. The washer design can achieve the best cleaning results for a range of rolling stock profiles if required, maximising useability and return of investment. Bingham Rail have an envious 40 year track record of design, installation and post sale service recognised throughout the European rail industry.

RailJet 2000

A robot trolley runs parallel to the track with a unique oscillating nozzle delivering high pressure water and detergent. The process is automatic and a computer controls the speed, detergent concentration, and power to reduce consumption and elemental waste. RailJet is five times more effective at cleaning chassis’s than manual cleaning and gives consistently good results. The RailJet can be elevated to clean roof tops.
